How to Measure Your Calf
Getting the right fit starts with an accurate calf measurement. Here's how to do it in three easy steps:
What you'll need: A soft measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler)
- Sit down and relax your leg — Sit in a chair with your foot flat on the floor. This gives a natural, relaxed calf size.
- Find the widest point — This is usually about halfway up your lower leg, between your ankle and knee.
- Wrap the tape around — Hold the measuring tape snugly (but not tight) around the fullest part of your calf. Make sure it's level all the way around.
- Note your measurement — Record the number in centimetres. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for the most comfortable fit.
Tips for the best fit:
- Measure both calves — they're often slightly different sizes. Use the larger measurement.
- Measure at the end of the day when your legs are at their fullest.
- Wear the type of sock or stocking you'd normally wear with your boots.
